Hart Homes LLC - 25 years in the making
My journey to Hart Homes LLC started many years ago when a young boy needed a boost and his grandfather lent a hand. Unable to see the mirror to brush my teeth, my grandfather suggested “we” build a bench to stand on. Little did I know that little piece of furniture would be the first of many steps in the creation of Hart Homes LLC.
My grandfather, a “jack of all trades” contractor, made sure that I used care in making the bench, noting that there is great pride in creating a quality product. My goal, from that point forward, was to honor my grandfather through quality woodworking that I would be proud to put my name on.
I was helped and encouraged along the journey by many people, each of whom added critical components to my skillset. A summer job working in a cabinet shop helped me appreciate the detailed nature of woodworking. I was fortunate to be able to apply my new love of detail to interior trim work, which also gave me unique insight into the home building process, and more importantly, homeowners.
My ability to interact with homeowners, ensuring an enjoyable and memorable experience, led to another step in the journey – the creation of Dan Hart Construction, a trim company that currently caters to 16 Acadiana builders, employing 12 very skilled individuals, including one still trying to honor his grandfather.
The latest step – Hart Homes LLC – represents a natural progression in the process. Through Hart Homes LLC, I am able to deliver a quality home, combining a hands-on approach, an extreme love of detail, and a lifelong passion to do things right the first time
